Medieval stilt walkers performances for festivals and historical reenactments

Teatro del Ramino was founded in 1996 by a group of medieval enthusiasts passionate in street performances, who inspired by the traveling performers that once animated medieval markets and fairs, banded together to found a theatrical company.
Their performances are deeply rooted in sagas and legends passed down through generations, capturing the emotions of distant adventures across time and space.
Fire, stilt acrobatics, pyrotechnics, lights, and music, all skillfully woven into the narrative, are the evocative elements that, together with carefully crafted scenography, define the essence of Teatro del Ramino's productions.

Armando D'Angeli, Teatro del Ramino's founder, was born in San Benedetto del Tronto on November 2, 1970.
At 18 years old, he participated in the first edition of Templaria, a medieval themed festival in Castignano, his hometown and residence, where he fell in love with medieval traditions.
He was soon captivated by these mysterious and fascinating objects, wooden stilts, which would later become his signature.
A few years later, he joined Templaria's organization and became vice president of Castignano's "Pro Loco", and around this time he met another young performer, Marco Giorgi, who was teaching a group of Castignano locals the art of fire eating, and before he knew it, Armando found himself too managing a team of fire performers as well.
In 1995, while studying architecture, he took his first steps on stilts and realized that this was his true calling.
Just a few years later, he decided to establish his own theater company, Teatro del Ramino, pursuing his passion for stilts, which are crafted from the very wood that inspired the company's name, "ramino".
